Competitive Dance
Each spring, the Dance Center of Greensboro’s competition teams attend regional dance competitions. Students compete in lines, large groups, small groups, duo/trios and solos. Each year we have a variety of competition dance genres including Pointe, ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, contemporary and musical theatre. Our dance teams have won numerous ‘highest score’ of the day, first place overalls, top ten overalls, judges awards, best technique, and best choreography awards. Participating in dance competitions helps young dancers become stage PROS and the feedback from professional judges helps each dancer improve their technique and artistry.
